Object tracking allows the payload operator to designate a target which the gimbal will automatically keep in the center of the frame. This allows the payload operator to maintain visual contact with a target without the need for manual control manipulation.
A target will be tracked until the object is no longer present or the operator cancels the tracking request.
A secondary benefit to object tracking is scene steering, whereby the entire frame will be kept in frame with no operator intervention required. With Scene Steering enabled, a payload operator will immediately notice an improvement in the quality of the video stability.
If you are not sure if your application requires Object Tracking or Scene Steering, one of our engineers will be happy to discuss your requirements with you.
